OVERVIEW

A fantastic training ground with climbs, technicall challenging, flowing singletrack. All single track on these trails are graded in terms of the International Mountain Biking Association regulations and are clearly marked accordingly.

On your bike

The trail starts 45m above sea level, offering a gentle warm up along jeep track before branching right, across a bridge and onto flowing singletrack. A short distance later you enter "Beware Alley, a mildly technical section, named after the wildlife encountered when the trail was built (scorpions, snakes and porcupines). The main climb then begins to "Spykers Hill", with the trail interspersed with bends and switchbacks which ensures an interesting and unpredictable ride. Save some strength in your legs as there is a false summit as you exit the renosterveld. The sweeping descent is worth every bit of effort and offers an adrenaline rush to recreational and professsional riders alike.

Off the bike

There are a number of wine farms in the region and a wine tasting trip is a good option
