Hayterdale Trails is fast becoming a nationally-renowned mountain-biking haven: the promise of maintained, tech-y trails in a place as beautiful as the Zuurberg mountains does not stay an Eastern-Cape-kept-secret for very long.
Choose between the different route options, each one with its own difficulty each with endless kilometres of flowing single-track or test your technical skills on a world-class cross-country (XCO) and downhill (DHI) track. The 4.2km XCO course has approximately 130m of elevation gain and loss with a technical switchback climb and the “Rabbit Hole” over-and-under crossing, while the 1.77km DHI course features a hair-raising vertical drop of 240m. Officially, there is a Green route, a Red– and a Blue route, all with their own dedicated Trailforks.com page.

For a more in-depth look at what Hayterdale and the Zuurberg surrounds have to offer, check out our blog post on the area here.
