OVERVIEW

Bass Lake Adventure Resort and its spring-fed old mine quarry is a mere 45 minutes south of Sandton. The area is home to an abundance of birdlife and sightings of a number of small game species have been recorded. The mountain biking track has been set out in this private estate of some 76ha featuring natural vegetation and frontage onto the Klip River.

On your bike

With both the casual and experienced rider in mind, this jeep track circuit is only 9km long, but can be extended by backtracking over certain areas. If you feel like testing your skills, rest assured; there is a wide range of obstacles along the way with just that in mind. It is impossible to get lost as the track is demarcated with information pointer boards and a security fence surrounds the whole area.

Off the bike

Stay and enjoy all the other facilities for the day, like swimming and kayaking in the old quarry, centerpiece of the venue. Mountain-biking can be incorporated into Team/Corporate Days or 2-in-1 Adventure Days or into a Tented Camp Stay.
