A relatively flat scenic ride on hard-pack gravel with a fair amount of single track (look out for the porcupine/meerkat holes!). Two waterpoints (actually just one, but visited on the way out at 25km, and then again at 53km) make this a one waterbottle ride if you're not a thirsty drinker. One short, slightly technical climb at around 27km that is rideable, but worth pushing up if you're not confident un-cleating at a moments notice.

Worth the trip out to Middelburg for this race - the venue at Dwarsvlei is fantastic and tents/food/pool/beer with event management by Urban Goat will see me back next year.
