Tygerberg MTB Club Offers Winelands Top-up

TYGERBERG MTB CLUB and WINELANDS TRAILS team up and provide a unique offer to TMTBC members for the new year.

We are excited to announce this wonderful opportunity, available exclusively to TMTBC members, and after our social media announcement Friday, the excitement is tangible.

The initial conversation about such possibility took place about 3 years back with Darren Herbst from Paarl Adventure Trails, but this year however things really steered into the correct direction. After a number of board room and online meetings, the two organisations agreed to terms and shook hands on a first of its kind “top up” option for our members, said Morné Veer from TMTBC.

Both organisations have iconic venues and fantastic trails in their networks, and the beauty of their immediate surroundings are often breath-taking. The new “top up” membership will allow our members to now broaden their horizons and enjoy many more trails, which perhaps they would not have opted for in the past. But it is not just the trails, it is also the lovely farmland, venues and amenities on “that side” that our members will be exposed to.

For us as leadership we have always put our members first, and the basis of this new alliance was built on the principle of getting the best possible “deal” for our members. We believe this was achieved, and in no small margin made possible, by the kind folk at Winelands Trails. Each organisation is unique, and has its own operational procedures, and different landowner agreements, but it just shows what can be achieved with the correct mindsets. We thank Darren Herbst and each of the other partners, and look forward to playing in their back yards more often now – continued Morné Veer from TMTBC.

The 2022, “top up” on the TMTBC membership referred to, is for the LOCAL Winelands Membership, which has been reduced by almost 50 %, for all existing and new TMTBC members, and available from 1 December. It includes the following venues:

Paarl (Specialized Trail Zone, Rhebokskloof, Spice Route, Diamant Estate, Laborie, Paarl Reserve)
Banhoek (Plaisir De Merle, Old Bethlehem, Boschendal Wine Estate, Bartinney)
Wellington (Wild Boar Trails, Scouts)
Franschhoek Wine Valley Trails (Berg River Dam)

Tygerberg MTB Club also has a unique “holiday membership” for R300 which will allow out of towners to enjoy the Tygerberg Trails (excluding Winelands) from December 2021 to January 2022.
