How it Works
The Challenge?
Take on Tygerberg Mountain Bike Clubs’ toughest climb, the aptly named Tyger’s Claw.
This segment above the Contermanskloof farm promises to make you bleed. Climbing 283 meters over just 2.23 kilometers means that you need to conquer an average gradient of nearly 13%!
The good news is you do not need to do it on you first try. You make as many attempts as you wish on this segment over the period of the challenge with each attempt earning you an entry into the lucky draw.
Quickest weighted time takes will take bragging rights as the King or Queen of TMTBC Toughest Climb!
Our weighted time calculation takes into account your age, max heart rate, weight and height to level the playing field. Read more about the calculation below.
Of course we will also award you the TMTBC Tyger’s Claw KOM badge for your digital showcase. All participants that complete the segment at least once will receive the TMTBC Tyger’s Claw badge. Both badges carry 30 Rewards. Simply log in to MTBRoutes.co.za, navigate to your profile and select the achievements tab to view your badges.
A variety of lucky draw prizes apply – details to follow.
