The 6 km winding dirt road that leads to Rebellie from the turnoff is ideal for mountain biking.

On your bike

This is a 4×4 trail in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains and offers a number of serious sandstone and rock obstacles, rapid descents and steep climbs. It’s definitely not for the novice cyclist as it is a 30km hard-core ride. Spectacular mountain scenery along the way provides the added bonus of game-viewing opportunities. Possible sightings include black wildebeest, blesbok, springbok, springbok, rhebok and zebra.

Off the bike

When not riding, indulge in some game-viewing, hiking or 4×4 off-roading. Alternatively, visit Clarens 14km away if you need a break from all that peaceful solitude.
