OVERVIEW
The Union Trails is a network of trails that sit on a 1200 hectare estate, consisting of natural and hand-crafted trails, making use of the natural terrain to provide different levels of difficulty.
On your bike
The trails offer all-mountain/enduro riders some incredible riding, mixing flowing single-track, techinical sections, Moab style slickrock, eye-watering descents and some steep ascents. The route is contained withhin the estate and takes riders past the awesome Destiny Castle. There are three trail options:
Union Trail: 40km circuit, advanced riders and All-mountain biking terrain.
Besters Trail: 10km trail, for the novice riders.
Rustlers DH: Full on Downhill track.
This is single-track heaven – ride onto the 10-kilometre Bester trail (along the Caledon River), the Union Trail (40 kilometres of rock and hand-cut single track) or the hard core DH track (Rustlers DH) if you want a mix of very steep and technical mountain-biking action. The trails are marked with paw prints painted on rocks and are easy to follow.
Off the bike
A visit here is a family event; many additional activities such as walking, hiking, trout-fishing, quad-biking, 4×4 tracks, bushman paintings and horse-riding are available.
