OVERVIEW
The Kamberg offers world class mountain biking, and races like Joberg2C and Kamberg Karma have really put this valley on the MTB map. Thanks to a community with a passion for cycling, the local farmers allow access to their land. As a result, they have sculpted some of the best tracks around. When road riding on the Kamberg and Giants Castle Roads, you will come across many more bikes than vehicles and at 5000ft it is the ideal training destination.
On your bike
Glengarry Park is a lovely resort on the banks of the Little Mooi River where there’s a choice of anything from a moderate 17km MTB Route suitable for the whole family to a respectable 55km off-road ride through the heart of the Kamberg Valley. Some routes offer well marked singletrack through forests and include exciting downhills and river crossings. The rides form part of the Kamberg Classic MTB Route.
Off the bike
Glengarry Holiday Farm offers trout fishing in stocked trout dams and in the Little Mooi River runs through the property. There’s river tubing and swimming in the river and a nine-hole golf course and a bowling green for those in pursuit of gentler activities.
