OVERVIEW
The water abundance you may very well see species like Buffalo, Kudo, Springbok, Hartebees, and Ostrich to name a few. On the bird watching side this area is a paradise for Ornithologists, you can see things like Blue Crane, Egyptian Goose, Fly Catchers, Drongo, Guineafowl, Eagle, Bussard, Ibis, Plover and the list goes on.
On your bike
An easy ride on gravel and tar. Start from Shell Voorbaai in Mossel Bay and ride in the direction of Hartenbos. Turn left after Transand on the Welbedagt road. From here it is gravel until you get back on the tar road at Maandagskop. Follow the road around the Hartebeeskuiol Dam until you get back on the tar road. From here cycle back towards Shell.
