Hlane Royal National Park, home to the largest herds of game in the Kingdom, encompasses 22,000 hectares of Swazi bushveld dominated by ancient hardwood vegetation. On your bike
Guided Mountain Bike Trail (2.5hr): Enjoy a guided mountain bike trail at Hlane Royal National Park. This guided mountain bike trail is a quiet, intimate and non-invasive way to view Hlane’s flora and fauna at close proximity. The largely flat trail is perfect for beginners on sturdy, well-maintained mountain bikes and offers an eco-experience that combines a fun outdoor activity with genuine African Bushveld viewing. Bottled water is provided on the trail to keep you refreshed in order to enjoy African Game viewing Swazi style!

Off the bike
If you haven’t yet explored the Swazi Kingdom, you’re missing out on one of southern Africa’s most spontaneous tourist destinations. You don’t need a visa, it is an easy weekend drive from both KZN and Gauteng and there’s no need to convert cash or learn a new language, although you could do both should it float your boat. Plus, you can get up close and personal with the Big 5, or go rhino tracking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, horse riding, caving, scrambling and off-road driving in an infinitely varied and remote country.
