Facilities: Thatched safari tents for 18 guests. Serviced A-frame huts with linen provided. Communal ablution and boma facilities. Hot and cold water. Fully equipped kitchen and braai facilities. Riding is all on private properties so security is generally good

Sungubala Mountain Bush Camp is a comfortably rustic bush camp in the foothills of the northern Drakensberg. [div2 class=”highlight1″]
On your bike
MTB Trails include a 35 km Classic route on singletrack and jeep track and a variety of intense, technical singletrack. Sungubala will also facilitate dirt road rides that take you further afield, down through the flat fields below, up past Montusi resort and then around on the Old Nook farm road past Drifters, another resort. Finish by going down through the grounds of Alpine Heath resort and back through the fields on the opposite side.

Off the bike
Marked hiking trails can also be supplemented with a guide. There’s river swimming, access to horse-riding, trout fishing, abseiling, trapezing, bungee bounce, paintball and a 150-m zip line or foefie slide.
