Tugela River Lodge and Hideaway is a self-catering bushcamp on a private game farm in the Central Drakensberg and has some awesome scenery.
On your bike
Various mountain biking opportunities exist. including the 4×4 trail in the 2ha game farm and local roads in the central Drakensberg.
Off the bike
Guided walks, a 4×4 trail, quad biking, fishing, and canoeing. Historical tours up Spioenkop Mountain by the Farmer/Owner, Gary Green, are popular. Neighbouring Spioenkop Game Reserve has game-viewing on horseback and great stretch of water for sailing or boating.
